Olmia Academy. It always seemed far away, like an impossible dream. Defeat was crushing, but this time, there was hope. Trinity. You’d heard the rumors, sure, but they were just rumors. Why would they be interested in Olmia Academy? It seemed so silly, but for one reason or another, you replied. You said yes. Thinking back, you remember the message quite well… After you replied, they said your first mission would be given to you when you arrived at Olmia, but you’ve been standing around for close to twenty minutes. Come to think of it...that guide Olmia Academy promised would show you around on your first day isn’t here yet either...The main lobby is quite comfortable. Bigger than what you’re used to in Petram, at least. Living without the smell of the sea is a bit odd, though, and something you’ll have to get used to. Your phone buzzes, interrupting your thoughts. It’s a message from an unrecognized number. Just like when Trinity first contacted you….Looking at the message, it says the following, with a picture attached. In three minutes, you hear some yelling and clattering. “Sorry!”, the voice repeats. It isn’t long before you see the woman. She speedily walks over, a light purple blob following her. The blob has green dots in it, along with eyes and a mouth. “Sorry I’m late! Am I late!?” She excitedly exclaims, only pausing once, looking like she remembers something as she does. “Oh yeah! Are your Gregory Pegle?"
Getting a better look at her, you see why she might be so fast. She’s very tiny, and can’t be taller than 5’5. She looks quite excitable, and seems to be gushing with energy. Her hair is long and red, and she even has red eyes to match. How odd..Wait...Is she getting taller?!?! As you watch, the woman rises a few inches off the ground so she’s eye to eye with you. “Hope you don’t mind, I just like being at eye level!”
Looking again, she seems to be propelled by two bat like wings on her back...You know that isn’t natural, whatever it is. The purple blob seems to have taken an interest with you, and it’s coming closer. It seems to look you over, and circles around you. “Don’t mind him. He’s just curious!”
Please roll Perception, Gen Ed, Occult Edu, and Pokemon Edu. DC to recognize the Spiritomb is 5. Here's your Guide Picture! She looks exactly like the picture, even her outfit, but doesn't have the wings on her head, just the ones on her back.

Gregory sat in the lobby, patiently waiting for whoever to arrive. On the outside he was his normal calm self, but deep down inside Gregory had a feeling of anxiety. He started feeling this new feeling for the first time shortly after he had accepted Trinity’s offer, and that feeling hadn’t of left him since, but for some reason here that feeling was ten fold. Maybe it was all the fancy furnisher that Gregory wasn’t use to, maybe it was the fact that he was nervous he’d get caught, or maybe it was the lack of fish smell everywhere, but something was making him feel super anxious. His feelings of anxiety won’t helped when his phone suddenly buzzed, as Gregory almost jumped out of his seat in response to the thing. He had recently gotten the new phone, so he still had yet to fully work out how it worked. Thus, he spent a good minute looking at the back of the thing waiting for a message to appear, tapping it multiple times in an attempt to get something out of it. It then dawned on him to check out the other side of the phone, where he found the message. Gregory scratched the back of his head as he read the message. They wanted him to get a pin of off the guide? It’s probably, like, right in front of their face; how is he supposed to do that? Gregory sighed as he leaned back in his chair, looking to his side to see his old rod sitting next to him. Maybe… Gregory sat patiently for a few more minutes, his nerves starting to ever so slightly creep up on his face. Just as he checked his phone to see if the message was there he heard the sounds, and soon saw the sights, of the guide. His thoughts of her went from odd to odder to oddest as she rose to his eye level with a set of bat wings. Gregory was flabbergasted, his mouth wide open as his mind exploded with a thousand and one questions. If it wasn’t for the weird blob thing circling him Gregory’s mind might of just exploded. Whatever the blob thing was it was probably a Pokemon, and just noticing it seemed to anchor Gregory back in reality. “...Well it’s a cute little thing, ain’t it, so I don’t mind.” he said as he returned his gaze back to the guide. “And yup, that’d be my name. Gregory Pegal, nice to meet you.” Gregory extended his hand out for a handshake in an sort of improper manner, his fingers a little too stretched out from each other. Although his composer seemed to be mostly reclaimed, Gregory had trouble trying to maintain eye contact without looking at the girl’s bat wings, the things still troubling him deeply. You don’t recognize the symbol at all. Must be some fancy Imperian thing because you sure as hell have never seen it. If you have, you must’ve forgotten. Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with fish. You immediately recognize the Pokemon as a Spiritomb. Even though Petram wasn’t the most ghost inclined town in Asper, a few floated in from time to time. It wasn’t a fish though, so you never paid them much mind. Speaking of spooky and scary things, you think you remember a rumor about people called Elementalists. Somebody said they could harness the powers of a pokemon type. Maybe that’s what this woman is? No matter how hard he looks, Greg can’t see a pin on her anywhere. Maybe it isn’t visible? The woman giggles at Gregory’s open mouthed stare. “I hope you don’t mind the wings. Can’t do much about it now!” She explains. She shakes your hand when you offer it. “Lili-Whoops!” She covers her mouth. “I’m Ms.Evans.”“This is Abbadon!” She gestures to the Spiritomb, the thing making something like a scream, but it sounded happy. After examining you, he floats back over to Ms. Evans, folding around her in what must be some attempt at a hug. “I suppose we should get started then, yeah?” She smiles, and then proceeds to fly into a wall. “Whoops! Never can get used to that.” She giggles before correcting herself, and flying towards a door. She opens it, but pushes too hard and tumbles into the room. Upon entering the room, you find yourself in a large and open space, except for the stage in front of you. The room is sparse and without many decorations. The curtains are a deep blue with snowflakes embroidered on them, but there isn’t much else making it “pretty”. “This is the contest hall! It isn’t much now, but just wait until tonight for orientation! It’s going to be a real treat!” She gushes. Please roll Intuition.

Not concerning himself much with the meaning of the symbol, Gregory followed behind Ms. Evans, hands in his pockets, as he looked over her backside in an attempt to find the pin. No luck as it would seem, and Gregory soon found himself question where he’d keep a pin if he was a bat lady. Maybe it was stuck in her hair? Maybe it was in one of her pockets? Maybe she left it on her stove, who knows? As they walked on Gregory found his eyes looking over the so called Pokemon, and it’s odd antics. He had never given the few Spiritombs back home much mind, and this was his first time giving one a real look down. Gregory found it strange that this blob of purpleness could somehow show affection to another, at least that’s what he assumed it was doing as it hugged Ms. Evans. He wondered if there were other Pokemon as strange as this one, and then he felt his mind wandered back to the topic of the pin. What if the pin was in the Spiritomb… Gregory thought about asking about the girl’s bat wings, watching her odd antics as she flew into walls and whatnot, but when they arrived in the contest hall he found that the new location drew his attention. It was sparse, sure, but that simplicity of it was nice, and the room reminded Gregory of the community center back home. “Sure is a nice room,” he said as he idly looked at the dark blue curtains, “we never had anything quite this big back home. I’m sure it looks mighty pretty when everything is set up all proper like.”

Looking over the Spiritomb, you don’t see much in it’s vast purpleness. The only thing you see is a grey stone-like thing floating with it. Was it...carrying it? It seems to notice you, and makes that happy screaming noise again. It purposely shoves itself into you, and you feel pin-pricks up and down your arm and an intense cold as one of it’s green orbs touches you. After a few seconds it moves and...laughs? After that, you’re quite sure that wherever the pin is, it isn’t in there.
“Yeah! It looks so nice! I can’t wait till they start decorating for tonight! It’s going to look like a dream with sparkles and stars and pretty things everywhere!” She gushes. “C’mon! Let’s go look at the gym!”
She starts heading back the way she came, and then stops herself in the middle of the small hallway. “Wait! I forgot my map! Abby, can you go and get that for me?” The Spiritomb screams, and then disappears, the stone dropping as it does. Ms. Evans deftly catches the stone before it drops, making you wonder how such a seemingly clumsy woman could catch something that quickly and easily.
In a few seconds, the Spiritomb was returned, a sheet of paper incased in it’s purple body this time. Without a second thought, she reaches in, takes the paper, and gives it back the stone. She then..pets?? the thing and smiles.
“Alright! Gym is this way!” She continues flying the way she was going, this time opening the doors with just the right amount of force so she doesn’t end up tumbling through.
Upon opening the doors, you can tell that this is, in fact, the gym. The room has lots of equipment, including weapons, items, ropes, obstacles, and much more. Clearly, there is a focus on fitness here, as it looks quite well used, but in good condition.
“This is the gym! There’s a lot of fun stuff to do here! There’s weights and jump-ropes and obstacle courses and it’s so fun! It’s a bit hard for me, though. They don’t have much for people with wings...” She says happily.
As she gushes about the gym and all it’s equipment, you think to yourself about where the pin might be. It wasn’t visible, but it wasn’t in the Spiritomb either...Maybe she hid it. Perhaps she put it in a pocket?

It seems that Gregory’s peering into the Spiritomb got him some unwanted attention, as the thing leaped up around him. It was certainly an odd sensation, having the blob all around him with the a feeling of cold running along his skin, but Gregory didn’t mind all that much and simple let the Spiritomb do its thing. “You do what you do, Abby, I don’t mind one little bit.” He gave the Pokemon a genuine smile as it laughed at him. Gregory found his mind thinking about the pin again as they waited for the map. It was probably in her pocket, given that he still couldn’t find it, but that was an even bigger problem. He couldn’t risk poking his hand in, for fear of being noticed, and while he had thought about trying to use his old rod to dangle the pin out of her pocket, but he knew full and well what happens when you dangled fishing hooks next to people like that. As the Spiritomb returned with the map ( Gregory not really bothering to question how it did that) he felt himself, (and was probably looking, quite stumped. As they entered the gym Gregory found himself distracted by all the fancy equipment. All of the equipment was all so fancy and shiny and nice looking, and despite not know what half the stuff was or did Gregory still felt at aw to all of it. “Wow, your guy’s gym is like, super amazing! Look at all of this stuff you’ve got here, it must of all costed like a bajillion pokeyen!” He said like an excited child, wildly eyeing the room. But the excitement soon left his eye as he remembered the pin once more. How fitting would it be if he was unable to finish this first assessment. He wasn’t even so sure as to why he carried; it would be so easy to just go back home and fish your days away, alone… Well, at least that meant Gregory didn’t have much to lose, so maybe being direct was the way to go. He felt like he was running out of time, anyhow. Gregory spoke up to his guide, his voice significantly less excited than before and slightly more nervous than regular. “Umm, Ms. Evans, this is going to sound totally off the wall and 100% out of nowhere, but, you wouldn’t happen to have a pin on you?” It has a, umm, one sec.” Gregory said as he pulled out his phone, trying to pull up the message sent by Trinity before it releasing it got deleted. He held his phone up during a moment of awkward silence as this realization dawned on him, before quickly putting it away. “...The pin has a really fancy blue and white diamond shape on it, I think. And when I say fancy, I mean, like, super orderly looking and stuff. So yeah, you wouldn’t of happened to have it, would you?” Gregory rubbed the back of his head as he waited for the guide’s response. Intuition roll because the GM asked for it: q5QhT31V3d6 3d6

“I know! It’s really amazing! I could spend a whole day in here! You guys are really lucky.” She says, smiling. About to leave and take you to the next room, Ms. Evans stops, turning to look at you. She looks thoroughly confused. “A...pin? I...don’t...think...so? I’ll have to think about it. Sorry!”
With that, she goes back to looking at her map, and leads you up some stairs. While going up the stairs, Abaddon keeps bumping up against you. You feel your arm chill, and this time, it isn’t from the cold outside. He keeps making small whimpering like noises and levitating around you. Upon reaching the top of the stairs, she flies around a bit and looks around the right corridor. “There are classrooms here.” She flies to the other corridor. “And here!”She flies over to a door behind the dual staircases. “The library’s over here! Come on!”She flies into the door, and upon entering the room, she goes back to walking. “My wings got tired.” She explains. The library is quite large with tables, bookcases, and the latest in computing technology. One of them even has a fancy holographic screen! You’ve only read about those in books! A small office sits off to the size, and you can guess this is where the librarian’s office is. “I hope you don’t mind, but I have a few books I want to grab real quick! It’s too bad we can only have them out for a week before we have to return them.” She says before going between a few of the stacks. You still know where she is, because you can hear the sound of books dropping. Abaddon, however, doesn’t leave. He stays, and continues his odd behavior. Please roll intuition.

Gregory’s expression turned into a bit of a frown when he heard the Ms. Evans response. “Oh, well, just wondering. If it comes back to you it’d be real nice if you’d tell me, so, yeah…” He kind of felt defeated, and up against a wall, slouching along as he followed behind her. As Gregory ascended the stairs, at a lost of what to do, he began to notice the Spiritomb pestering him more. What was it trying to do? “Hey, little purple guy, do you want something?” he said, not really minding the things prodding at coldness causing; Gregory actually liked that the Pokemon was showing an interest in him. It’s a shame that the Spiritomb soon stopped bugging him, leaving for Ms. Evans side. Soon Gregory found his attention on the classrooms as they walked down the hallway, getting as many peeks into the classrooms as he could, before they entered the library. In truth the minutes Gregory has spent in a library could probably be counted on one hand, and the only books he had ever read were a few fishing manual books, but Gregory found the quieter atmosphere of the Library calming; it was almost like being out by a stream on a lazy day. “Well, I’ve never been much one for books,” Gregory started up with as he looked down the place, noticing the fancy holographic screen off to the side, “but this place is nice, I guess…”
As Ms. Evans went over to her books Gregory played with the screen a bit, managing to make a big red “ERROR” warning appear in just under 10 seconds; a new person best! He celebrated for a moment, quietly, to himself, before bumping the thing in an attempt to “resolve” the error, just then noticing the Spiritomb. Gregory didn’t have much expertise in dealing with non-fish Pokemon, but he figured that since the Spiritomb had been giving him such attention he might as well try. “Umm, hey there, Abby, that’s your name, right?” He asked the Pokemon in a hush tone appropriate to a library, taking a moment to realize that it probably couldn’t respond. “...Right, so, how are you? You seem cool, given how you feel and all. I’m cool, too. Not like, cold cool, but, you know, relaxed cool.” Gregory stared at the Spiritomb for another moment of awkward silence. “So, hey, I’ve been noticing that you seem to like being near me, touching me and all. Is there anything you would…” Gregory said, trailed off for a moment before coming to a realization of sorts. “Oh, I know!” He exclaimed as he started digging around in his bag, pulling out a white ball of bait. “You must of smelled my bait and wanted a bite! I don’t know if you Spiritomb ghost fellas like bait, but the fishes out back sure do love the stuff, so if you want some I wouldn’t mind.” He held the bait with an outstretched arm towards the Spiritomb, his eyes and smile still genuine and pleasant as ever. Almost immediately after seeing bumping the screen, you see a small, weird, bird-like thing pop up on screen. It was like a bird, but smoother. Parts of it were blue, and others were bright yellow. It has a tail like a Pikachu. Wait, was that a Porygon-Z? It looks different than what it should look like though, so you aren’t sure though. It shows up on the screen, and code immediately starts flying down. After a minute, the screen flashes black and white. It looks just like new! A sentence flashes across the screen, “Don’t touch!” It stays up for thirty seconds, and then the words and the Porygon-Z are gone as quickly as they came. As you question Abby, it flies around you curious. Upon seeing the bait, it looks as if it’s confused. It flies around it for a moment, then screams. It flies into your hand, and the bait starts levitating inside of Abby’s body. It seems to start...dancing? And then screams once more. It flies off, presumably to go back to Ms. Evans. Suddenly, you hear, “Where’d you get that Abby? Hey! That tickles! What are you doing?” You hear a high-pitched laugh, and Abby flies back over to you. It floats back over your hand, and a pin drops. Then, Abby does the same pseudo-hug it gave Ms. Evans. It feels very, very cold. Your phone buzzes. Ms. Evans comes back, but not before leaving a note on the librarian’s desk. She’s carrying a few books and the bait you gave Abby. Upon seeing the bait again, Abby goes over and takes it. You think he likes it, and that maybe he’s playing with it, but you can’t be sure. “Sorry for the wait! You ready to go?”If you want to see the books Ms. Evans is carrying, please roll perception. Gregory was slightly weirded out by the… whatever it was that appeared on the holographic, but he didn’t have much time to think about whatever it was and the Spiritomb soon drew his attention.
Gregory lightly chuckled to himself as the Spiritomb flew away, content that he managed to make someone happy today. That’s why it came as something as a surprise to him when the Spiritomb returned, pin in hand (or whatever constituted for a “hand” in Spiritombs case). ‘Oh, is this? Oh my gosh thanks a ton, Abby!” He said in a somewhat hushed tone as he embraced the Pokemon in its pseudo-hug, skin shivering in response to the coldness.
As the hug ended Gregory received the text message. He grabbed his phone, not making the mistake of thinking the backside was the frontside again, and looked over the message. He felt like he had actually accomplished something, and a bit of pride came over him as he started nodding his head up and down with a small smile. That was a new feeling, too.
Gregory pocked the pin as Ms. Evans came back, taking notice of the bait that Abby once again grabbed. He felt the need to address the the bait. “Oh, Ms. Evans, I hope you don’t mind, but I gave Abby some bait! It seemed kind of interested in me so I offered some of the stuff to it. I don’t know what ghost like your Spiritomb normally eat, so I hope that ball of bait isn’t messing with his diet or something bad like that. And yeah, I’m ready to go when you are.” He was still having trouble keeping his eyes away from the bat wings.
Noticing the books his guide was carrying, Gregory decided to make some small talk with Ms. Evans. “So, um, I know I said I’m not much of a book person, but what books did you check out? They seem so, well, big. I don’t think I’ve ever read books like their size before.”

As you ask Ms. Evans about Abby’s diet she starts giggling. “He doesn’t eat, silly! He’s a nullivore, meaning, he doesn’t have to eat. He just gets curious about things, and wants to play with them.”
Walking out of the library, Ms. Evans explains her books. “This one is “Undying”, and it’s a collection of short stories about Ghost types. This one is called “Love & Hate” and it’s my favorite. It explores the hatred we have in Zaphros towards each other, the occult, and everything we don’t understand. I try to read it pretty often. There are some other ones too, but they aren’t very good.”
She walks you up to the next floor, but explains there’s nothing but classrooms up there. On the next floor, though, she gets back to explaining the rooms.
She points to a room on the left. “That’s the rec room! There’s a lot of fun stuff in there! Next to that, there’s the staff breakroom. ” She points to the right. “There’s a few offices and the staff bathrooms. There isn’t really much over there-oh! There’s the Elite Four and High Coordinator’s office for when they come to visit!” She points behind you. “The cafeteria is there! The food there is so, so yummy!”
She starts to lead you back down the stairs, and continues talking to you. “Guess what!? You’re gonna get your Pokemon now! I can’t wait to see what you picked!”
When you get back to the first floor, she goes to a set of double doors, and unlocks them. After passing through those, she pushes another set of double doors open. You see a white and sterile room. People in labcoats mill about, dodging stainless steel tables and beakers. On the table in front of you sits a backpack and a single pokeball.
“C’mon! Let’s see it!”

Gregory nodded his head while Ms. Evans explained what each book was about. He had remembered his mother talking about “Love & Hate” once when she read it herself, and he had always wondered why a book about why everyone hates everyone is so popular. Like, no one back in Petram was ever too too mean to him or anyone else from the town, so everyone couldn’t be that mean to each other that someone needed to write a book about it. Besides, if Gregory wanted to learn more about it, he’d have to read the book, and “Love & Hate” is at a grade nine reading level, way out of Gregory’s range!
As they proceeded up to the fourth floor and through all the rooms Gregory continued to make comments about how big and fancy looking everything is (regardless of whether or not it actually looked big or fancy), with his most negative comment being that “I hope the grub is great” when they looked over the cafeteria. He was a bit less enthusiastic than before, though, as he seemed a bit drained after all of that pin worry.
Once Ms. Evans brought up the fact that Gregory was to get his first Pokemon, the boy’s eyes lit up once more. “Wait, you mean I finally get to get a little Pokemon all for myself? That’s so awesome, let’s go!” This was the whole reason why Gregory wanted to join the academy, in the first place, so it would of been an understatement to say that he was excited. Oh all of the joy he would have with that Pokemon, he just couldn’t wait!
Gregory took the lead as he whirled down the stairs, excited to get to the lab, blazing ahead of his guide. When he got to the double doors he had to wait for Ms. Evans to catch up and open them, after which he found himself looking into a really foreign room. Something about the laboratory didn’t sit well with Gregory. Maybe it was the stainless steel look, or maybe it was all of the men in labcoats doing who knows what, but labs never really sat well with the boy.
Still, at the end of this off-putting room was a Pokeball with what he presumed was his name on it. Gregory calmed himself down before walking forwards with Ms. Evans, ready to become something of a trainer.

Releasing the pokemon from the pokeball, your very own Horsea pops out! You caught a Horsea! Everything in your bag is the stuff you already have in your inventory that the school gives out, like the Pokedex and Pokeballs, so don't worry about adding it.
The thing hops around, slowly going from one area of the lab floor to the next. “Horsea! Horsea!” It seems interested in everything, and a scientist has to pick it up and hand it back to you to stop it from interfering with work in the lab. “A Horsea? That’s cute! Don’t forget your bag!” She picks it up, waiting for your hands to stop being full of Horsea before continuing on. “The tour is almost over, so don’t worry you’ll have plenty of bonding time! Shall we get going, then?”

“Oh man, a Horsea!” Gregory said excitedly as he meets his new Pokemon, seemingly forgetting that he had picked it months in advance. He had seen many Horsea’s in his lifetime, most of them swimming by boats and playing around the lake’s edge, and Gregory always liked the look of them. Plus, they were pretty fast swimmers, and Gregory knew that he wanted his Pokemon to be a good swimmer.
As the scientist handed him the Horsea, Gregory managed to get the thing’s attention. “Hey buddy, I’m Gregory, your new caretaker of sorts. I sure it’ll be awesome to hang out with you, umm…” Gregory searched his mind for a good name, thinking back to the ship that brought him (at least partway) to Olmia. “...Maria. Yeah, that’s a good name for yeah. I hope we can be fast friends, Maria.”
Gregory puts down Maria temporarily to pick up his new stuff, before getting her back into his arms again. “Hey, you don’t mind if I carry her around, right? Doesn't seem right to squish Maria into a small little ball just after meeting her.”

Maria cuddles into your chest, and then she seems to take interest in your clothes and uses her nose to play with your shirt. “Oh no problem at all! Abby is out, after all.” At this, both Abby and Maria seem to notice each other. Abby flies over to you and gets very close to Maria. Maria looks back and forth from you and Abby, until Abby disappears. Then Abby reappears, and Maria laughs. It looks like they’re getting along! “Alright! Let’s get going!” She leads you out of the room, humming a tune as she does. Once out, she closes and locks the set of double doors once again. After exiting the building, the cold of Olmia wafts over you once more. Petram was always cool because of the draft coming up from the lake, so it won’t take too long to get used to. As you start off, Ms. Evans slips, and after composing herself, she starts to fly again. “If I walk, I’ll trip too much. I hope you don’t mind!”“Here is the Training facilities! For a fee of $500, the on-staff Trainers will train up to six Pokemon there! It’s a really well-kept place.” She points out a blue building with white lettering on it, then moves to point at a similar building. “That one is the Grooming facilities! You can leave your Pokemon to be groomed there while you take classes or do other activities! Abby really likes it there, but I think that’s just because there’s always so much going on.”
She leads you to a large building, and knocks on the door. A short boy who looks quite young answers the door. In fact, he could be easily mistaken for a girl, and you might’ve yourself if you didn’t know this was a probably one of the male dorms He has short silver hair, and grey-blue eyes. You can see from their eyes the energy in this kid. He has on a grey long-sleeve shirt and a green bowler shirt over it. He has on a pair of plain black pants and green sneakers. “Hi! I brought a new friend for you guys! Don’t be too harsh on the guy!” Ms. Evans says, pushing you into the room. The room is large, but quite quaint. There’s a small kitchenette off to the side with a bar style counter-top and stools. Further in the room is a large seating area with couches, recliners, and a fireplace. Above the fireplace is a large television, and next to the fireplace is a singular holographic computer. Lamps and tasteful throw blankets adorn the room, but it has mostly been left empty to allow the students to decorate. A bunch of suitcases litter the room, but none of them are yours. You only have the one bag, of course. There’s a hallway on the left that you assume leads to the rooms. “What’s your name? Where are you from?” The boy asks excitedly. “Oooh! You got a Horsea? That’s cool!”Two very similar looking guys are sitting together on the couch laughing, and another guy is sitting in a chair, looking quite uncomfortable. Next post, I’ll describe the other roommates more, but because you haven’t really interacted with them and I don’t want this post to be 4 pages long, I’ve left them out and just linked the photo so far. Even as lightly dressed as he was, Gregory wasn’t really bothered by the cold as he stepped outside. Besides, the outside air was much warmer than the hugs from Abby. He was a little more concerned about Maria, who he worried might be finding the weather a little too cold, so he did his best to keep her warm my holding her a bit closer to his chest and a bit further down in his arms. As Ms. Evans began pointing out the facilities outside, a thought formed in Gregory’s mind. “Wow, if people are willing to pay money to have someone trainer their Pokemon it must take a real long time to raise these little fellas up.” Gregory commented in a light-hearted fashion, but in his mind he was starting to worry a bit about this whole trainer thing. How hard was this going to be, exactly, and how much effort was Gregory going to have to put into it. He knew he wasn’t really cut out for the school, and he was worried that he’d have to put in a lot of work to get that second badge. Ugh, work. And what about Trinity, the mysterious organization that he knew next to nothing about. What did they want him to do, and why did they want him; that agent didn’t even seem to know what skills Gregory had. The boy let out a sigh as he walked forwards, hoping it would all sort itself out. Things tended to sort themselves out in his life, but then again all Gregory ever did was fish and slack off schoolwork, so maybe that wouldn’t work here. All Gregory knew was that if there wasn’t a fishing hole here he was going to be mighty mad. As Gregory entered the dorms, he had to stop himself from asking why a silver-haired girl was at the doors of the male dorms. He was a bit of an odd looker, that boy, as Gregory wasn’t really use to the more feminine look in males. Most of the men back home were very rough and tough looking, and even the younger kids at school had a certain feel about them that made them seem tough. Still, he looked like a good enough person; Gregory always found it hard to dislike people. The dorms were nicer and fancier than anything Gregory had back home, as normal, but there wasn’t much that stood out to the boy.He was mostly just glad to be in a warmer place as he idly eyed the building. Gregory did notice the pile of suitcases, which made him question just how many students were here and whether or not he had packed enough. Still, Gregory’s attention was drawn back to the silver haired boy as he asked him some questions. “Oh, well, name’s Gregory. And this, down here, is my Horsea, Maria. Say hi Maria!” Gregory gave the Pokemon a moment to greet itself, not really realizing that she probably didn’t understand what the word “hi” meant. “So, yeah, it’s nice to meet you and all. I’m from across the lake, out in Petram of the Asper region, so everything here is real different. Nice place we’ve got here...” Gregory said as he eyed the dorms once more, noticing the three other boys. "So, who are you all? Be nice to get to know my new dorm mates.” He said, addressing the whole room with another one of his lazy smiles. Rolling intuition because the GM asked for it: CA|T0cqW3d6 3d6

Maria doesn’t make a noise when you ask her to say hi, but she does try to wiggle out of your arms. She’s clearly interested in everybody else.
Speaking of everybody else, stepping in, you get a good look at everyone else.
Both the first and the second guy look insanely similar. Are they twins? Wouldn’t be the weirdest thing you saw today. That easily goes to Ms. Evans. Anyway, these two guys both have ginger hair and hazel eyes. They’re very attractive, but you see a mischievous glint in their eyes. You recognize it from kids knocking over barrels and untying knots at the docks. Those kids always caused more trouble than they were worth. The two guys are tall and of medium build. You wouldn’t call them gangly, but they aren’t fat either. You wouldn’t be able to tell them apart if they weren’t wearing different clothes. Good luck telling them apart in uniform...They both are in quite fashionable clothes, at least much more fashionable than anything anyone in Asper wore. They both have a pair of black jeans with rips on them and a pair of high-top sneakers on. You have no idea as to why someone would wear a pair of jeans with holes in them, but they may just be weird. The first one has a red flannel shirt around his waist, while the second wears another red flannel. The first has on a black shirt and a large green jacket, while the other just has on black shirt with some words or a graphic on it. You can’t really tell. They also both have on necklaces of some type, but you can’t really recognize if they have any meaning.
The third and final guy who looks quite uncomfortable has slick black hair and blue eyes. He keeps fidgeting, and its obvious he doesn’t really want to be here. He also looks to be quite tall, but much more muscular than the other two. Unlike the other two, his clothes are quite simple. He only has on a white shirt and blue cardigan with a pair of simple gray pants and boots.
The boy introduces himself first. “I’m Dakota! I’m gonna be a member of the Elite Four someday! Just you wait!” It looks like he realizes something before he speaks again. “Hey! I’m from Asper too! Yarrin, actually.”
The two twins walk over and introduce themselves next. “I’m Jay.”
“And I’m Quinn.”
“We’re from Impero.” As Jay speaks, you just get the feeling that they’re lying. They don’t give it away easily, but maybe it was a subtle twitch or unnatural movement, or perhaps you just get a bad feeling about it. Nevertheless, you think he’s lying.
“We don’t really have any plans. Just rolling with it. We’ll probably get insanely popular within the week, but you get the honor of saying you’re in the same dorm with us. Try not to publish a tell-all book of all our secrets too soon!” They both laugh.
“Don’t worry, we don’t bite, unless you’re into that..” Jay bites his lip as Quinn laughs, once again.
Finally, your last dorm-mate speaks up. He doesn’t move, though. “I’m uh...Xander…” He says quietly.
“I don’t have any dreams..Just to make my parents proud. Except...I’d like to work under Bella Richardson someday. She’s an amazing chef, and it would be an honor to even be a busboy under her.” His voice seems to be much louder and happier when he talks about this Bella person.
“Oh...I’m uh...From Clarus.”
“I have an idea! We should all show off our starters! How does that sound?”

Dakota’s from Yarrin? Gregory remembered Yarrins being pretty close off, even to fellow Aspers, so it was weird to see one with such energy. Still, outgoing was good, people like that were easier to talk to. They tended to scare off the fish, though, so Gregory made a mental note to not take Dakota fishing. What a pair of weird looking twins. Why would anyone wear ripped jeans in the first place, that just makes no sense. In fact, their whole look just puts Gregory off, especially that gleam in their eyes. And why lie about being from Impero, why would anyone care where you’re from? Gregory could tell that these twins would probably cause trouble, but he decided to just keep that thought down and judge them based on their actions instead of their looks. “Ahh, cool, I bet you guys will be the talk of the school in no time. Our dorms will probably be flooded with people wanting to hang with you, and that’ll be awesome.” Gregory said in a genuine matter as Quinn mentioned becoming popular, trying his best to sound friendly. He awkwardly chuckled at the biting comment, being really weirded out by it. The other guy seemed fair enough. A simple looking fella in good physical shape, despite the odd blue-colored hair. He looked kind of down, though, wonder what was up with him. He got into the school and got his own Pokemon, which would probably make most people happy, so Gregory wondered why he was looking so down. Wasn’t much Gregory’s place to ask, however, so he opted to just comment on the boy’s culinary skills, trying to cheer him up a bit. “You’re a chef? That’s awesome, I bet you’ll be able to cook up some great grub for the whole dorms.”
Gregory’s eyes lit up a bit as Dakota mentioned showing off more Pokemon; he wanted to see the other types of critters these guys had. “Well, I’d be down with that. You’ve all seen Maria, my Horsea.” Gregory said as he set the curious Pokemon down. “She's like any old Horsea, I assume, so she likes swimming and blowing bubbles and other fish-related activities. How about you all, what do you all get for a starter?”

Maria jumps around from person to person, clearly happy to be able to explore. “Alright, here goes nothing!” Dakota throws his pokeball, nearly missing a glass someone set out. “Oops!”Out pops a pokemon that looks a bit like a shroud with a stump on it. It simply silently floats by the boy, not doing much, or looking too interested in anyone. Dakota pats it’s head. “This is Willow! She’s a Phantump.” He explains. “Alright, I guess it’s our time to shine, Quinn.” Both Quinn and Jay release their pokemon at the same time. Both pokemon look like white fluffy balls with eyes and a leaf on each side. The one that seems to be Quinn’s seems to get mad at the other, and starts making noises. “Nee Nee!”“We got the same thing!” Jay says, but you see Quinn give him a dirty look. “What? It’s all Cheshire this time!” As he speaks, you see the white puff the other was yelling at fade, revealing a small black and red vulpine animal. Both Jay and the Pokemon laugh. “Right. So this is Cheshire, and he’s a Zorua.” “This is Avery. She’s my darling little Cottonee.” Quinn says, picking up the puffy ball. “Oi! Xander! Your turn!” Jay yells over to the blue haired guy, who was still sitting over in the seating area. Xander sighs, walking over to the ever growing group of pokemon and people. Fumbling with the pokeball, he eventually releases a green pokemon that looks kind of like a flower before it blooms. “This is my Petilil, Magnolia.”So you’re roughly in the same spot as Lyn right now, so I’m gonna hold off here. After your next reply, I won’t reply because the next post will be in a group thread. Basically feel free to chit-chat with the NPCs or do anything that isn’t major. Basically, don’t beat anyone up. If you have questions about what’s major, feel free to ask in the Skype chat.

“Awesome, awesome, you’ve all got really cool Pokemon. Especially yours, Jay. Must be fun being able to look like whatever you want.” Gregory wandered over to the couch, letting Maria do whatever she pleases while still keeping an eye on her. He slouched down right next to the twins before starting to rubbish through his bag. “So, I got one of those things, I think Ms. Evans called it a Pokedex? I think it can like scan Pokemon or something, wasn’t really paying attention to be honest. Did any of you get one of these things? I’m going try to get mine to start working…”
Gregory produced the red Pokedex from his pack, and starting to pull on the thing. To his (and probably everyone else’s) surprise, the thing immediately opened up, revealing a very fancy and technologically advanced looking screen. “Woh, look at this!” He said in excitement, as he started to fiddle around with the screen. He managed to get the camera pointing at his Horsea, before somehow activating the scanning function. Truly an impressive feat for someone like Gregory.
